Nanhe District, Xingtai City, Hebei, holds a dominant position in China’s pet food industry, contributing to 60% of the production and sales volume. It stands as the largest pet food production base in China, with thousands of tons of pet food products delivered here every day.
Apart from main pet food such as dog and cat kibble, and pet snacks, the industry chain extends to pet clothing, daily consumables like grooming tools and accessories, etc. Let’s take pet chains as an example. It’s easily produced – a local couple can make over 200 pet chains in a day at home.

Shandong, a well-established breeding hub, leverages material advantages in pet food production. A comprehensive supply chain has been developed, with Qingdao, Linyi, and Weifang hosting numerous pet food enterprises. Shandong, primarily focused on pet jerky snacks, exports 80% globally.

Compared with pet supplies in Yiwu, pet products from Guangdong boast better texture and higher quality. However, the prices are higher than those in Yiwu. For instance, a simple electronic dog training toy in Chenghai may cost twice as much as in Yiwu.
