How to Get to Yiwu

Yiwu is a country-level city, there are no international flights to Yiwu directly. International visitors can transfer at below cities to get to Yiwu:  

  • Fly to Shanghai first, then get to Yiwu by Train, Bus or Car 
  • Fly to Guangzhou first, then get to Yiwu by Plane, or Train 
  • Fly to Hangzhou first, then get to Yiwu by Train, or Bus

Transit at Shanghai

By Train: It takes around 1.5 hours to get to Yiwu by bullet train from Shanghai Hongqiao railway station.

By Bus: within 4.5 hours, you can get to Yiwu bus station from Shanghai Pudong airport.

Transit at Guangzhou

By Plane: It takes around 2 hours to fly to Yiwu airport from Guangzhou Baiyun airport.

By Train: If you prefer to go by bullet train, you can get to Yiwu within 7 hours from Guangzhou Nan railway station.

Yiwu is a city with 4 distinct seasons. You can come at anytime. However, you’d better avoid winter (December to February) or summer (August to September), if you do not want to experience extreme weather.  

Winter is very cold here. During December to February, the temperature is 1-5 (℃) or (33.8-41(℉). Summer is very hot, the average temperature is 35 (℃) or 95 (℉) during Aug to Sept. 

In Spring (April) and Autumn (October), you will most likely experience pleasant weather with an average temperature from 20-27 (℃). 

There is also significant rainfall in Yiwu. There will be rainy days almost in every month. September is the wettest month. Other rainy months include May, June, August. Be sure to carry an umbrella if you come then.
