Guangzhou is world-famous for massive wholesale markets. Look a little closer, and you’ll see—it’s also the capital of high-quality replicas. This guide shows you exactly where to find them, what to expect, and how to shop smart.
Replica markets near Guangzhou railway station
The biggest cluster of replica markets in Guangzhou is centered around Guangzhou Railway Station. Here, you’ll find wholesale markets selling all kinds of replicas—bags, watches, cosmetics, clothes, shoes, and more.
- To the west of the station, along Zhanxi Road (站西路), you’ll find over a dozen wholesale markets—best known for replica watches and clothing.
- To the east, there’s Baiyun Leather City (白云皮具城)—a replica handbag heaven for brands like LV, GUCCI, Versace, and more.
- To the north, the Sanyuanli area (三元里商圈) is home to a huge number of replica leather goods markets, including bags, belts, suitcases, perfumes, etc.
2 points to consider when shopping
Before we dive into specific markets, here are some key tips to help you avoid rookie mistakes and shop smarter.
Ignore the street hawkers
There are always people on the street who’ll actively approach you and ask if you want to see “1:1” bags or watches—especially if you’re a foreigner.
Don’t follow them. These “guides” usually bring you to overpriced stores hidden in office buildings or alleyways. They get a commission—sometimes as high as 50%—so you’re almost guaranteed to overpay.
Go directly to the market booths
The items on display won’t have brand logos or bold labels—but that’s intentional. Due to government crackdowns on counterfeits, most vendors keep the real goods out of sight.
Here’s how it works:
- Show the vendor photos of the product you’re looking for (a bag, watch, sneakers—whatever).
- Ask to see the real thing—they’ll usually take you to a warehouse or private room nearby.
- Check everything carefully: stitching, size, hardware, movement (for watches), materials, and overall quality.
This depends on your experience—being able to spot the differences takes practice.
- Compare multiple vendors—even for the same model, quality and price can vary a lot. This will give you a better sense of what you’re paying for.
Remember: no matter how good the replica is, it won’t pass official authentication. Don’t fall for claims like “pass all tests”—that’s just sales talk.

Here’s a list of 6 major markets that focus on different types of replica products. If you’re taking a taxi, you can show the driver the Chinese name, like 站西手表市场 (Zhanxi Watch Market). I’ve included the Chinese names and addresses below to make your trip easier.
Zhanxi watch market (站西手表市场), a.k.a. Guangzhou ghost watch market
Guangzhou’s Zhanxi Road is just China’s largest wholesale watch market—but it’s also known by a more mysterious nickname: “Guangzhou ghost watch market”.
Why the nickname? Because Zhanxi is a major hotspot for replica watches, and much of the supply chain stays hidden during the day. Instead, the market comes alive at night with a rhythm of its own.
Most replica watch factories don’t run booths here. They operate behind the scenes—supplying long-term distributors, who then resell to smaller agents. These agents promote and sell replica watches online or through private channels.
Around 8 pm, factory runners start showing up near the market with backpacks or bags, heading to dim street corners to deliver goods. If you happen to visit at night, you’ll be amazed by the crowds.
And what’s in those backpacks? Copies of nearly every big-name brand—Rolex, Patek Philippe, and more—ranging from cheap A-grade models to top-tier Super A versions.
A-grade replicas cost just a few dozen dollars. They use quartz movements and basic materials like alloy and PU leather.
Super A-grade replicas feature original ETA movements, 1:1 cloned cases, straps, clasps, and more. The craftsmanship is impressively close to the real thing—up to 95% similarity. These typically sell for a few hundred dollars and are especially popular with experienced watch collectors. Many are even exported overseas.

Zhanxi clothing markets (站西服装市场)
If you’re shopping for replica clothing, Zhanxi Plaza (站西广场)—nearby the Zhanxi watch market (站西手表市场)—is a must-visit.
Here are three popular fashion markets packed with foreign buyers bargaining over hoodies, jackets, tees, and accessories:
- Kinbo Fashion Market (金宝外贸服装城)
- Kinme Fashion Market (金美外贸服装城)
- Kindo Fashion Market (金都国际服装城)
You’ll also find some replica clothing in Huimei International (汇美国际) and a few trendy knockoff pieces in Zhanxi Fashion Wholesale Center (站西服装城).
These markets are all within walking distance—you can hit them all in one trip. Click to enlarge below market pics.

Guangzhou Guoda Shoes Mall (广州国大鞋城)
If you’re looking for high-quality replica leather shoes, Guoda Shoes Mall is the go-to spot among all Guangzhou shoe markets. Located near the railway station, this market also sells fake designer bags, clothes, belts, sunglasses, suitcases, and other accessories.
The mall has 5 floors, but the hottest replica shoes—especially current-season styles—are mainly on the first and second floors. Most are made in Putian—famous replica sneaker city.
🕙 Opening hours are late—most booths open around 10:30 pm and close by 3 am. If there’s an inspection, they may open later or not at all. So always check in advance before going.
- No. 35 Fenghuang Road, Shijing Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou (广州市白云区石井镇凤凰路35号)
Ling Long International (领龙国际)
Right across the street from Guoda market, Ling Long International (领龙国际) is another night-only market—and the perfect spot to hit next if you’re already at Guoda.
🕙 Open around 10:30–11:00 pm and close around 3 am, depending on whether there’s an inspection.
Compared to Guoda, Ling Long has more options for replica clothing, including big-brand jackets, jeans, hoodies, and tees. You’ll also find bags, accessories, and some shoes here too.
- No. 12 Qingcha Road, Shijing Town, Baiyun District, Guangzhou (广州市白云区石井镇庆槎路12号)
Sanyuanli cluster (三元里商圈) & Baiyun Leather City (白云皮具城)
Sanyuanli (三元里) in Baiyun District is one of the main hubs for foreign buyers living in Guangzhou, especially traders from Africa and the Middle East. Every year during the Canton Fair, this area sees a surge of international buyers—from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and even celebrity visitors.
One of the most famous spots here is Baiyun Leather City (白云皮具城)—a true replica handbag heaven. For example, when Real Madrid visited Guangzhou in 2011, their manager José Mourinho shopped for luxury replica bags at Baiyun Leather City.
- No.1356-1358, Jiefang North Road, Sanyuanli, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou (广州市越秀区三元里解放北路1352-1358号)
Just nearby, Sanyuanli’s leather market cluster (三元里皮具商圈) is one of the busiest commercial zones in Guangzhou. It includes over 30 wholesale leather markets, mostly concentrated along Guihua Gang (桂花岗) and Ziyuangang (梓元岗) roads.
Locals often refer to this entire area simply as the Ziyuangang Leather Market Zone (梓元岗皮具商圈).
Final note
