Guangzhou Clothing Markets: 3 Main Areas and 4 Niches

Guangzhou’s clothing supply chain can move products from design and sampling to shipment in as little as 7 days — one major reason why many suppliers behind SHEIN are based here.

There are simply too many clothing markets here, spread across different districts, with huge differences in pricing, styles, quality levels, and buyer groups.

This guide will help you quickly understand Guangzhou’s major clothing market districts — and figure out where you should actually source from.

Guangzhou Railway Station clothing market area

Guangzhou Railway Station in Yuexiu District is packed with clothing wholesale markets, most within walking distance of each other.

Baima Clothing Market (白马服装市场)

Baima is a landmark wholesale market in this area. Many shops here originally focused on export business, with a more mid-to-high-end overall positioning.

The market mainly focuses on womenswear, with more mature fashion styles. You’ll also find plenty of business menswear and neo-Chinese fashion brands here.

The floor categories are roughly as follows.

Yima Costume Wholesale Square (壹马服装广场)

Directly across from Baima, Yima is better suited to budget buyers. The market mainly focuses on menswear, while also offering womenswear.

Next to Yima is Kapok International Fashion City, also known as Hongmian International Fashion City (红棉国际时装城), which is also worth visiting. It has more of a shopping-mall-style fashion atmosphere, with many fashion accessories available as well, including jewelry, shoes, hats, and bags.

Tianma Fashion Wholesale Center (天马时装批发中心)

Tianma mainly focuses on womenswear, while also offering menswear and kidswear.  The styles are quite diverse, and basic items like T-shirts and basic tops are often priced around $2–4/pc.

Liuhua Fashion Center (流花服装市场)

This market covers a wide range of apparel categories, including suits, evening dresses, casualwear, sportswear, denim, swimwear, sleepwear, and fashion accessories. Many vendors here focus on export business, especially orders from Africa and Southeast Asia.

Kinbo Fashion Market (金宝外贸服装城)

Here you can find plenty of designer-inspired fashion. Nearby markets like Kinme Fashion Market (金美外贸服装城) and Kindo Fashion Market (金都国际服装城) are also known for similar styles.

Another market worth mentioning is Yulong Fashion Plaza (御龙外贸服装城), located about 2 km from Guangzhou Railway Station.

The market now mainly focuses on own-brand womenswear, with buyers coming from more than 30 African countries and much of the Middle East. Breathable plus-size cotton clothing and durable workwear pants are among the most popular sourcing categories.

Thirteen Hongs of Canton (十三行服装批发市场)

Shisanhang Road in Liwan District is one of Guangzhou’s best-known clothing wholesale hubs, with around 20,000 booths.

Shisanhang Road in Guangzhou Liwan District

Near the Zhongda fabric market, the Shisanhang area originally grew from export-oriented clothing business and is now known as a benchmark market for mid-range womenswear. The New China Building (新中国大厦) is the core market here, followed by Hongbiantian Building (红遍天大厦).

New China Plaza (新中国大厦)

This market mainly focuses on fast-fashion womenswear, with extremely fast style turnover and strong trend-following ability. From basic everyday styles to the latest seasonal designs, you can easily find a wide variety of products here. Korean-style fashion is especially common.

Every day, huge volumes of clothing are shipped from here to markets across China and overseas.

Hongbiantian Costume Exchange Center (红遍天服装批发市场)

Next to New China Plaza, Hongbiantian mainly focuses on denim, plus-size womenswear, and casual commuter styles. Prices here are generally more budget-friendly.

Shahe Clothing Market Area (沙河商圈)

Shahe in Tianhe District is known as Guangzhou’s “low-cost fast-fashion hub”. At these prices, you generally can’t expect very high quality. Most products focus on simple styles and high-volume sales. You can also find many styles similar to those in Shisanhang, but at lower prices.

Besides domestic livestream sellers, dropshipping businesses, and street-market wholesalers, many overseas buyers from Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa also source here.

The area includes more than 20 wholesale markets, with Wanjia (万佳) and Jinma (金马) being among the most well-known.

Wanjia Clothes Wholesale Plaza (万佳服装批发广场)

Wanjia has three floors in total.

  • The first floor offers a wide range of clothing categories.
  • The second floor mainly focuses on T-shirts.
  • The third floor is mostly used for warehousing and livestream selling.

Some vendors also support low MOQs, with minimum orders starting from just 3–5 pieces.

Jinma Clothing Center (金马)

Prices at Jinma are generally even lower, with some products lower in quality. The market has a relatively large selection of middle-aged and elderly clothing.

The market itself has narrow aisles and poor ventilation, so the shopping environment is fairly crowded and basic.

Nearby markets include Nancheng Market (南城), which mainly focuses on womenswear, and Yimin Clothing City (益民服装城), which is more focused on menswear.

Four specialized clothing markets in Guangzhou

Xintang Denim (新塘牛仔)

More than 60% of China’s denim apparel comes from Xintang Town in Guangzhou. It’s even said that one out of every three pairs of jeans in the world is made here.

From spinning and fabric production to finished garments, much of the supply chain here runs directly from factories to wholesale booths.

By evening, Xintang Clothing City becomes especially busy, with workers constantly packing and loading shipments.

Zhongshan Ba Children’s Clothing Market (中山八童装批发市场)

Zhongshan Ba Road (中山八路) in Liwan District consists of several kidswear markets, most of which focus on mid-to-high-end products. Among them, Lihe Building (荔湖大厦) offers one of the largest selections of children’s clothing.

Guangzhou Wedding Street

Haizhu District’s famous “Wedding Street” is not just a single street, but a large wedding apparel cluster centered around Shiergong Metro Station (市二宫地铁站).

The area attracts many international buyers, especially from Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Compared with the Suzhou Huqiu wedding dress market, prices in Guangzhou are slightly higher.

Guangzhou stocklot clothing markets

Guangzhou has many stocklot and clearance clothing markets, most of which are concentrated in Shijing Town, Baiyun District.

Buyers looking for lingerie and niche intimate apparel can also visit Guangdong Adult Products Wholesale Market (广东成人用品市场) in Yuexiu District. The market mainly sells lingerie, sex toys, dolls, and other adult products.

What buyers should know before sourcing

Womenswear still dominates Guangzhou’s clothing markets. Most vendors are still small-to-medium-sized sellers, with OEM/ODM production as their core business.

If you’re unfamiliar with Guangzhou markets, hiring an experienced sourcing agent can save you time and money.

Lower-floor shops are usually cheaper, and prices can vary between vendors, so comparing multiple suppliers is common practice.

January-February and June-July are usually end-of-season clearance periods, when many vendors lower prices to clear old inventory.
