Some products look ridiculous but turns out, they’re are quietly making a fortune. The board game that recently blew up on TikTok is a perfect example. It shot to the top of the toys & hobbies sales chart. In just 30 days, it sold 13,800 units and generated over $170,000 in GMV. So today, let’s check out some “not-so-serious” products that make serious money.

Offensive? Yes. Profitable? Absolutely.

إن Go F*** Yourself game looks chaotic and rude but that’s exactly why it sells. Go F*** Yourself is an adult twist on the classic card game Go Fish. The rules are simple: you try to “fish” for the embarrassing cards your friends are holding by asking them rude question. But if you guess wrong? You get hit with a loud, satisfying “Go F*** Yourself!”

The real fun lies in the brutally honest, often offensive prompts on the cards — like “Do you have any Bitcoin, you f**ing loser?” And nothing goes viral faster on TikTok than friends roasting each other around a table. That “unfiltered energy” turned into sales: the first 5,000 units sold out in just 3 days on TikTok Shop and founder Chris’s website.

The game sells for around $12, and since it’s just a printed card deck, Chris kept costs low by sourcing from China, where printing quality, speed, and pricing are hard to beat. But when it goes viral, it comes with a price, Chris run out of stock in 3 days. He handled it smartly by placing a large reorder and started taking pre-orders. Thankfully, 15,000 units have just landed in LA, though they still need to clear inspection.

The game is sold out

But that’s not the end. Many of our clients faced this before working with us: copycats. The soul of this product is the printed content on the cards. No mold needed, so it didn’t take long for knockoffs to pop up all over TikTok and Amazon. As a young startup, Chris’s trademark was still in process, and platforms like TikTok are slow at removing counterfeit listings. Meanwhile, dozens of copycat sellers were using his viral videos to drive traffic and eat into his sales.

From a sourcing agent’s perspective, we suggest always have your supplier sign an اتفاقية عدم الإفصاح (Non-Disclosure Agreement) or work with a trusted partner. To protect your intellectual property, make sure to register your trademark, or patent early.

The game is actually an old-school game with a modern, adult twist. But that “new skin” taps perfectly into the current vibe: people want fun, no-pressure entertainment that lets them laugh and blow off steam toghther.

A Hidden Message Drives Sales

Here’s another breakout product that refuses to play it safe: the “F This Shit” mug. At first glance, it’s a mug with modern stitch design. But when you tilt the mug, only then does the hidden message reveal itself. The original video (posted on May 11) hit 13.2 million views by May 29.

Beyond TikTok, the mug also climbed to #11 and #24 on Amazon’s New Releases chart.

In the comments, people called the design genius. Others begged for matching temporary tattoos, stickers, or even a thermal bottle version. One even asked for an “FDT” (F Donald Trump) version.

We can see the sales shift in real time. Before May 11, this mug barely had any traction. But once the viral TikTok hit, thousands of orders poured in within 5 days. Now, total sales have topped 15,000 units.

The mug turned that everyday frustration into something physical — a funny, slightly aggressive way to say what they’re really thinking. For normal people crushed by post-tariff price hikes, or exhausted 9-to-5 workers trying to survive the daily grind, that feeling hits every single day.

Just look at Google Trends: search interest in “mahjong” has been steadily rising over the past four years. Mahjong is like China’s rummy — a tile-based strategy game that exercises memory, logic, and quick thinking. It started as a social activity among Asian families and friends, but the competitive and complex gameplay keeps more people hooked. Even celebrities like Lucy Liu and Cardi B have shared their love for the game, helping bring it further into the spotlight.

On TikTok, the hashtag #Mahjong exploded with over 2.8 billion views. On Amazon, the top-ranked book in the Gambling category is an American-style mahjong guide.

And they doesn’t stop at Majong tiles. They’ve also built a whole lifestyle product line around the Majong, mats, racks, cocktail kits, stylish storage bags, decorative boxes, themed playing cards. So buy a full set can easily spending over $1,000. That kind of order value makes serious profit margins.

As more people start playing, the mahjong market is still far from saturated. There’s so much room to innovate. For example: portable, magnetic tile sets for travel, western zodiac-themed mahjong tiles for personalized gifting, or even modern minimalist designs that fit today’s home aesthetics.

All these best-selling “entertainment” products nailed one thing: they all became social currency. People want to show off, talk about, and bring them to the table. You might not be a board game person, but a wild, no-filter game night with your best friends? That’s hard to say no to. Don’t just build a product, create a moment people crave. That’s where the money goes.
