A $35 Stanley tumbler costs about $4-5 to make. The suppliers behind top drinkware brands like Yeti and S’well are based in Yongkang, a small town just 50 kilometers away from us. It’s only a 1.5-hour drive to get there.

Why the World’s Top Tumblers Are Made Here?

This small town has over 300 thermos factories and 200 accessory suppliers, producing more than 600 million tumblers a year. In fact, one out of every three tumblers in the world comes from Yongkang.

Yongkang started with hardware, not drinkware. Since the 1980s, the town has been producing hardware products like power tools, door locks, kitchen appliances, and machinery. That also explians why they excel at making stainless steel tumblers.

Costs & Customization

And all these popular insulated bottle designs on the market, such as handled mugs, coffee cups, wine tumblers, or straw cups, can be sourced directly from Yongkang.

Many of our clients prefer to buy stock items, add their logo through screen printing, and create custom packaging. For an order of 500 cups, the processing cost is just about $0.20 per cup.

Tip: For stock items, the MOQ can be as low as just a few dozen.

If you want to develop a new insulated tumbler from scratch, you’ll need to create a custom mold. The mold fee costs at least $2,200 with a MOQ of 3,000 units.
