Nikolatoy has at least 10 TikTok accounts, using a matrix strategy. There’s one main account, along with several sub-accounts for individual products like water guns, gel guns, engine models, etc. Altogether, they have nearly 4.5M followers on TikTok.
Nikolatoy performs better on TikTok than Csnoobs. However, Csnoobs does great on YouTube, with around 2.5M subscribers from just 300+ videos.
Is it a challenge to find Chinese factories for these engine models？
Very hard to find factories that can produce these high-precision mechanical and electronic engine models. In fact, very few specialize in this. Even if you do find one, they typically have their own mechanical engineering R&D teams, and often produce and sell under their own brand, with patents covering inventions and appearance designs.
Water guns
What is the video marketing content?
For video marketing, just directly compare other normal products and their brand’s own. It’s fun and engaging, with low production costs.
How to find Chinese factories for these water guns?
Producing electric water guns is easier compared to engine models. Many toy factories in Chenghai, Guangdong Province — the world’s capital of toys, can do that.
Sourcing these electric water guns often chooses ready-made stock rather than customization. Large offline buyers, like supermarkets, may invest in designing unique packaging and printing brand logos on the product.
However, toy guns often face stricter customs inspections, especially in countries with strict gun control laws like China, Australia, etc. Also, since toys belong to sensitive goods, it’s necessary to work with specialist freight forwarders, and logistics are more costly than regular products.
So, while it’s easy to find factories for electric water guns, logistics and customs clearance can still be tricky, not as simple as with general goods.
Final thoughts
When choosing products, always consider how easy the supply chain is—especially for beginners. While some niche products may look unique, fun, and perfect for marketing, their supply chains can be quite challenging. Like the two products we shared today: one is hard to find a factory to make it; the other belongs to sensitive goods involving complex customs procedures and higher logistics fees.
