En Guangzhou, wedding dress markets are mainly concentrated in two areas—Haizhu District’s famous “wedding street” and Panyu District’s factory clusters. In this blog, we’ll walk you through both.

Guangzhou wedding street (广州婚纱一条街)

Guangzhou wedding street (广州婚纱一条街) is the largest wedding dress and formalwear wholesale hub in Guangdong. It supports wholesale, retail, and rental services, serving as a go-to sourcing spot for both domestic and international buyers, particularly from Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Styles are diverse:

  • Western dresses include mermaid, A-line, ball gown, empire waist, and more.
  • Traditional Chinese wedding dresses include Xiuhe (秀禾服), Dragon & Phoenix Gown (龙凤褂), and Qun Kwa (裙褂, widely worn by Malaysian brides).

Compared to Suzhou’s wedding markets, Guangzhou’s prices are slightly higher, mainly due to labor costs. Even with the same fabric, embroidery, and embellishments, the processing fees in Guangzhou tend to be more expensive.

Note: “Wedding Street” is not just one street, but a large wedding supply cluster centered around the Shiergong Station (市二宫地铁站). It can be divided into four main areas. See map for the layout.

Good Century Plaza (好百年广场)

Good Century Plaza (好百年广场) is a modern and upscale wedding malls in Guangzhou. The official name is Good Century (International) Wedding Dress And Celebration Photographic Equipment Exchange Center (好百年婚纱婚庆摄影器材交易中心).

It’s directly accessible from Exit A of Metro Line 2 – Shiergong Station (地铁市二宫A出口), with four floors (B1 to L3) full of stores offering trendy designs. Gowns tend to be higher in quality, reflected in the pricing as well.

After visiting a few shops in person, here’s a rough pricing guide for reference:

  • Rental: $100–250/pc
  • Purchase: twice the rental price.
  • Custom-made gowns: usually higher in price, some stores starting from $450/pc.

Most shops charge a try-on fee, usually $3-4/pc, or $14-15 for 3 gowns.

Small tips:

  • Taking photos is usually not allowed unless you pay a deposit.
  • Best to visit between 11 AM and noon, when most shops are open.
  • Be sure to check multiple shops and don’t forget to bargain!

Wedding stores along Jiangnan Blvd North (江南大道北沿街婚纱店)

From the exit of Shiergong Metro Station (市二宫地铁口), walk along Jiangnan Blvd North (江南大道北) toward Haizhu Bridge (海珠桥)—this 600-meter stretch is lined with wedding dress shops on both sides. It’s a great area to explore different styles.

Prices are similar to those at Good Century Plaza. Some shops also sell wedding shoes and bags.

Wedding alley – Huimei & Jiangnan wedding plaza (汇美, 江南婚庆广场)

Behind the main road, you’ll find a network of narrow alleys packed with bridal shops—known locally as Wedding Alley. Compared to Good Century Plaza or street-facing stores, styles here may not be as trendy or high-end, but the prices are hard to beat. If you’re looking to source affordable styles in bulk, this area is worth exploring.

The two main entrances are:

  • Huimei Bridal Veil Wedding Celebration Wholesale Square (汇美婚纱婚庆批发广场)
  • Jiangnan Wedding Articles Plaza (江南婚庆广场)

Haizhu wedding city (海珠婚纱城)

Haizhu Wedding City (海珠婚纱城) marks the end of the wedding street area. Located under the pedestrian overpass, it’s mainly geared toward bridal photography studios looking to source wedding dresses and props in bulk.

Luopu, Panyu District: Guangzhou’s wedding dress factory hub

Panyu District (番禺区) gathers a large number of garment factories, covering everything from fast fashion to wedding dresses. Compared to Haizhu District (海珠区), labor and rental costs here are lower, good for labor-intensive production.

Luopu Sub-district (洛浦街道) is the core area for wedding dress factories. Many specialize in techniques like lace broderie, 3D tailoring, and sequin detailing. Most factories are export-oriented, serving markets across Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
